Junior Game Creators has helped thousands of students nurture an interest in computer science for over four years. JGC is a school holiday club where your kids get to discover and practice some mind blowing tricks of computer science. They learn how to make characters come alive, make sounds, play music, add controls and even keep score.
Your budding junior game creators are encouraged to explore. Every day is different as the only limit is their imagination. If you have been to one of our clubs before then they will simply work on more complex projects that they are interested in. All whilst under the guidance of one of our experienced facilitators.
You can attend one, two or all three days in any order as suits your needs. We offer a discount code (nextlevel) that gives 20% off for multiple days and a discount code (supermariobros) that gives 20% off for siblings (only one code can be used at a time). Just use the code as you checkout to apply the discount.
Each day has fun games, challenges and problems to solve. Those with more experience are challenged to work on their own projects or fall back on the structured challenges if they prefer. Anyone between 8 and 12 is welcome and will find the projects both interesting and engaging. During the day they will be building a library of code that they can use back at home to make their own games, just like real coders.
There is no better way to develop the correct foundations and mindset for coding than challenging students to make their own games. The interest and knowledge allows them to problem solve and be creative. You’ll be amazed at what they create.
Booking is on first come first served basis and our workshops are often over subscribed. A waiting list is maintained and priority given to the waiting list should someone cancel.
P.S. Act quick, spaces are limited!
P.P.S. Playing games is fun making them is game changing!
