Python (and other high-level programming languages) are often suggested as the next step for would-be coders to move on to from Scratch. We disagree. Children proficient with Scratch will be used to creating interesting multi-media projects with lots of interaction, graphics and sound. Achieving anything close to a Scratch project using Python would be monotonous and potentially deadly to enthusiasm.
That’s why we use a game development programme like Construct. It the user to quickly get their ideas on the screen whilst still introducing new principles and concepts in logic and programming.
